January, 2010
Dear Member,
Happy New Year! On behalf of the staff and ownership of Tri-State
Athletic Club, we want to thank- you for your continuing support of
the Club, and wish you a happy and healthy 2010.
As you see by
the volume of cars in our parking lot and the number of smiling
faces in the Club, we are busier than ever! And indeed, this is our
primary goal- to create a club atmosphere enjoyed and highly
utilized by our members. Great credit goes to our staff for
creating this environment through their member service ethic,
creative programming, and hard work. Enclosed in this mailing,
and on the Events tab of our website, is a listing of our Special
Events planned for the first quarter, called “Something For
Everybody”. We hope you will be able to participate in one or more.
In December, the
Club began the process of changing to a new membership/accounting
software system. The benefits to the Club and to the members will
be numerous. However, we need your help in a couple of ways.
The first
request is to place your e-mail address on file. This will allow
the club to quickly and efficiently send out important information
to you, including a newsletter, your statement, and club
announcements. Please take a moment to fill out the enclosed card
and return it to the club.
We would also
like to request from you the three or four digit code on the credit
card that you use for your Tri-State payments. This is called the
CVV code. This added piece of information allows us to greatly
reduce the fees that we are charged by the credit company for
processing credit cards. For security reasons, we will be calling
each member directly and asking you for this code. We will identify
ourselves, and we will not ask for any additional information.
This, along with the other billing information that we have on file,
is stored in a highly secure way.
By the end of
the month, we plan to have a new website up and running. One of the
features of the new site will be a Member Center, whereby you can
log-in and have access to your account information. This will
enable you to see your club charges and credits in (close to) real
time. This site will also enable us to move toward on-line
scheduling of tennis courts, personal trainers, and other activities
in the club.
The new software
is one example of investments we have been making to not only
improve member services in the Club, but to help us reduce costs as
well. In that regard, we are working hard at controlling our costs
in energy, payroll, insurance, and general operational purchasing.
Our mindset when considering expense reductions is to maintain (or
improve) the level of service to the members.
As always, your
referral of new members is very important to the club. In fact,
this is where a vast majority of our new members come from, and we
depend on your support. To make this referral process easier for
you and your friend(s), we have enclosed two certificates for you to
sign and give to potential new members. This special certificate
will provide your referral with a free one-week membership to try
the club, as well as offer them exclusive incentives to join.
All of us
realize that we are fortunate to be a part of such a special place
as Tri-State Athletic Club. Our on-going mission is to keep our
club great for many, many years to come. Thank-you very much for
your continued support.
Best Wishes
for a Happy and Healthy New Year,
